The right paint for your home, inside and out.

“I’m afraid to pick the wrong color again.”
Maybe you’ve repainted a room more than once and it still doesn’t feel right. You stood in the store with a swatch you loved, brought the paint home, and somehow it looked completely different on the wall. That’s not a failure of taste. Most of the time it’s a missing piece of information, what’s already in the room, the light it gets, the undertones hiding in your trim or your flooring. Once we look at all of that together, the right color stops being a guess.
CONSULTATION Up to two hours – $300
Most homeowners choose paint colors in isolation, picking a swatch that looks perfect at the store without accounting for what’s already in the room. The result is often a color that clashes once it’s on the wall, a return trip or three to the paint store, and money spent on samples and gallons that never quite work. A color consultation almost always costs less than that trial and error.
As a Certified Psychological Color Expert™ I bring a deeper understanding of color than most people expect. Choosing the right color isn’t just about what you love, it’s about what works in your specific space.
Every home already has an established temperature, warm or cool, determined by its permanent finishes. Trim, doors, cabinet colors, countertops, backsplashes, flooring, and existing wall colors all contribute to that temperature. Before we ever look at paint samples, we look at what’s already there.
From there we consider undertones and lighting, both natural and artificial, and how colors flow and connect from room to room. We’ll narrow it down to a few options that work with your home’s unique character. Large paint samples are mailed directly to your home so you can live with your choices in your own light before committing.
Available as a standalone service or as part of your interior design project.
Above: My own enclosed porch, with light from three directions. I wanted the wall color to bring the outdoors in, while letting the maple trim and oak floors stay the real focal point. Liveable Green’s warm, neutral undertones hold steady through it all.
